Project K-9 Hero Partners with Brutus Broth

OWINGS, M.D., October 2, 2018 – Brutus Broth, LLC is pleased to announce their latest partnership with Project K-9 Hero, a non-profit organization that supports retired military and police dogs.  In keeping with its mission of “nourishing your pet while giving back to the community,” Brutus Broth will be working with Project K-9 Hero to integrate their all-natural, human grade bone broth into the diet of its hero dogs while donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of Brutus Broth.  The dollars donated to Project K-9 Hero will help offset the re-homing and medical costs that Project K-9 Hero incurs.

“We at Project K-9 Hero are excited to partner with Brutus Broth and further our mission of helping our nation’s retired K-9 heroes,” states Jason Johnson, Founder of Project K-9 Hero. “Brutus Both provides our retired working dogs with an all-natural product that can help prolong their life and improve joint pain, which many of our heroes suffer from due to their years of service. As a national non-profit, we will be able to expand the cause of our mission to the customers of Brutus Broth and we will in return educate our supporters on the great benefits this product can offer to their pets. This strategic partnership will help us raise additional funding and spread awareness for our retired Police K-9 and Military Working Dog Heroes in need of assistance with medical care nationwide.”

Brutus Broth is a nutritious and flavorful liquid bone broth that can be mixed with a dog’s existing dry food, can be served on its own as a nourishing drink or frozen in ice cube trays for a fun treat. Fortified with turmeric, glucosamine and chondroitin, Brutus Broth is a human-grade product that is gluten, soy, yeast and dairy-free and has no artificial flavors, preservatives or colors. Unlike a majority of pet foods on the market today, Brutus Broth is made in a USDA-approved facility in the United States.

“Our broth can benefit all dogs, especially working and K-9 dogs because it acts as a recovery drink full of nutrients and minerals after a strenuous training exercise," mentions Sue Delegan, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer.   “Brutus Broth is proud to partner with an exemplary organization such as Project K-9 Hero. We founded our Company on similar principles as Project K-9 Hero, to ensure we are providing the best for our canine companions while giving back to the animals that have given us so much.”

When a K-9 retires from service they no longer receive any medical care or food from the organizations they served. Due to the physical nature of their job and exposure to dangerous areas, these retired Police K-9 and Military Working Dog Heroes tend to have more medical issues in retirement than your average pet. As a result, their former handlers or new owners need to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket to care for them.  Project K-9 provides up to $3000 per dog (or more for special cases) per year in medical costs. They also drop ship food to their home and pay for death benefit assistance which includes cremation or burial and custom portrait to honor the fallen hero.
